ABOUT MAX
I am a 20+ year technology veteran with proven expertise in building Customer Success, Account Management, Service Delivery and Business Operations organizations for start-up and mid-size SaaS companies.
After taking time off following my last company exit, I've begun applying that experience into the consulting & contracting realm, advising start-up technology companies on operational strategy, business operations, sales/account management and customer success & support. My mission is to provide the guidance needed to sustain rapid company growth for long term success, or to help businesses get unstuck and back on track. I also have an extensive network to tap into for hiring or additional support.
Over the years, I've spoken at technology events, most recently Women in Technology (The Latest Silver Bullet), sharing unique stories and perspectives with women from around the globe. This has inspired me to launch Board Room Blonde, to share some of those experiences more broadly.
I've also recently received my RYT 200, certifying me to teach yoga and meditation to business professionals seeking a mind-body approach to finding work-life balance. Introducing yoga, as well as meditation and breath techniques, into your lifestyle can significantly impact your personal and business outlook and relationships. After burning out in my last full-time employment, I've embarked on a journey to find better ways to handle stress, lack of sleep, jetlag and overall health and wellness which would have proven helpful in my prior and current technical career. The Creds:
I served most recently as the SVP, Business Operations at TeleSign, a leading CPaaS provider, acquired by BICS in October 2017. In this role, I was responsible for Customer Success, Account Management and Telco Services & Delivery, running the day to day operations of the $100M business. This role included integration of services in customer engagements, negotiating pricing and budgets with top web and mobile properties globally including Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Telegram & LINE, as well as managing the cost and delivery strategy of those services with the top Telco providers worldwide.
I joined TeleSign from Vantage Media where I built the Customer Success & Service Delivery team from the ground up, before taking responsibility as General Manager of the Education Services division ($80M). Prior to joining Vantage Media in 2007, I ran the Client Engagement team for Microsoft’s Exchange Hosted Services group, joining Microsoft through acquisition of FrontBridge Technologies in 2005.
I began my career in the start-up world at SageMaker, Inc, joining the company in 1998, which was ultimately acquired by divine, inc. Prior to that I was a competitive American gymnast, competing at the highest levels, concluding with a 4-year gymnastics scholarship at the University of Kentucky.
